Fausone & Grysko, PLC is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing legal team. This is a hands-on role offering immediate courtroom exposure and the opportunity to work across a diverse mix of civil, municipal, and transactional matters. The ideal candidate is driven, detail-oriented, and eager to take ownership of their caseload while contributing meaningfully to client outcomes. Key Responsibilities Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts Manage cases from intake through resolution with appropriate supervision Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and depositions Represent clients in court, administrative proceedings, and negotiations Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel Maintain organized and accurate case files Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop case strategy Assistant City Attorney / Prosecutor Responsibilities This role includes serving as an Assistant City Attorney/Prosecutor for municipal clients. Responsibilities include: Prosecute misdemeanor offenses and ordinance violations Manage a high-volume district court docket Work closely with law enforcement, city officials, and victims Advocate for victims’ rights and public safety Provide legal guidance to municipal departments and officials Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Licensed in Michigan (or eligible for prompt admission) 2–5 years of experience preferred; strong new attorneys encouraged to apply Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills Strong communication and courtroom presence Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) Highly organized with strong attention to detail Professional, dependable, and team-oriented What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan Mentorship and professional development opportunities Significant courtroom experience and client interaction from day one Collaborative, team-focused work environment Schedule Full-time, in-person position.
