Attorney, Law and Regulation

The Law & Regulation Associate Staff Attorney provides legal advice and support to NJM’s Contract Management and Regulatory Compliance teams, as well as NJM’s Corporate and General Counsel.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Review of third party and vendor agreementsProvide legal advice to business units on contract related issues and collaborate with Vendor Management in the negotiation and execution of contractsProvide regulatory guidance to stakeholders enterprise-wide to ensure legal complianceSupport internal business unit initiatives and assist with maintaining and improving internal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory complianceAssist Law and Regulation management with regulatory, rate and form filings Required Qualifications:Juris Doctorate degree requiredLicense to practice law in the state of New Jersey is required0-5 years of legal and/or property casualty insurance experienceCritical thinking skills and business judgmentAbility to work independently on projectsStrong communication skillsAbility to make decisions, propose solutions, and solve problemsExperience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlinesStrong relationship-building skills and a commitment to customer service Preferred Qualifications:Property and casualty insurance experience Experience handling contracts and/or regulatory mattersAdmitted to practice law in New York or PennsylvaniaCompensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.Pay Range: $101,415-$127,862
