Family Law / Litigation Paralegal

Job description With over a century of family law experience, the firm has established a credible reputation and solid relationships with legal professionals in New York City and Westchester, Rockland & Orange Counties. Our matrimonial law attorneys are well-versed in every aspect of family law, including divorce, child custody, support, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Job Responsibilities: Paralegal will support a designated matrimonial / family law attorney.Our preferred candidate will have significant experience with discovery including subpoenas, demands and responses, motion practice, trial preparation, drafting of correspondence and other documents, NYSCEF Court filing, and coordinating consultations. He or she will have excellent proof-reading skills, be familiar with reviewing and tracking voluminous financial records and able to maintain a very busy litigation calendar. Paid overtime is likely, depending on the current caseload. Qualifications: A paralegal certificate is preferred. NY Matrimonial and Family Law and litigation experience is required. Notary Public certification is preferred but can be done at a later date. Time Matters and PC Law Experience are a plus.
