The ideal candidate will be a drafting expert, capable of producing high-quality legal documents with minimal supervision. This role is central to our litigation practice, requiring a deep understanding of New York civil procedure and a commitment to excellence in a high-volume environment.**Key Responsibilities:*** **Primary Task: Legal Drafting.** Draft, review, and finalize a wide array of litigation documents, including but not limited to: * Summons and Complaints * Answers and Affirmative Defenses * Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs) and Orders to Show Cause * Motions (Discovery, Summary Judgment, etc.) * Affidavits and Affirmations * Discovery Demands and Responses* Ensure all documents comply with the New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR) and specific local court rules.* Manage electronic filing via NYSCEF for various New York state and federal courts.* Conduct targeted legal research to support drafting and case strategy.* Collaborate with attorneys to manage case deadlines and ensure timely filing of all pleadings and papers.**Qualifications:*** NY Paralegal Certification required.*** Proven experience in a fast-paced New York litigation environment.* Expertise in Drafting:*Demonstrated ability to draft complex pleadings and TROs independently.* Strong knowledge of NYSCEF and New York court procedures.* Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with high attention to detail.* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.* Self-starter who can take initiative and deliver results with minimal oversight.
