This individual will provide critical legal support across international trade, regulatory compliance, and logistics operations, ensuring the company complies with all applicable domestic and international laws. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to develop their expertise in international logistics law while contributing to a fast-paced, global organization.RESPONSIBILITIES:International Trade & Customs ComplianceAdvise on U.S. import/export regulations, including EAR, ITAR, and CBP requirementsReview and ensure compliance with trade sanctions programs administered by OFACMonitor regulatory changes affecting international trade and advise stakeholders accordinglySupport the development and implementation of the global trade control programContract ManagementDraft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including freight agreements, carrier agreements, and vendor contractsConduct thorough contract reviews to identify legal risks, obligations, and ensure alignment with company policiesMaintain a contract management system and ensure timely renewals and complianceRegulatory Compliance & Risk ManagementSupport the development and implementation of internal compliance programs and policiesConduct compliance training for operations and logistics teamsIdentify potential legal and regulatory risks and recommend mitigation strategiesLiaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies as neededReview of daily compliance applicationsGeneral Legal SupportAssist senior counsel with litigation matters, dispute resolution, and arbitration proceedingsConduct legal research on domestic and international law topicsPrepare legal memoranda, briefs, and correspondenceSupport corporate governance, entity management, and other legal department initiativesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school is preferred, but LL.M for foreign-trained attorneys will be considered.Minimum 2–5 years of legal experience in international trade, customs, compliance, or logistics lawDemonstrated knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations, trade sanctions, and customs proceduresExperience drafting and negotiating commercial contractsStrong analytical, research, and writing skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms (Westlaw, LexisNexis)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Proficiency or conversational ability in Mandarin Chinese (strongly preferred but not required)Experience working with or for international logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain companiesFamiliarity with Asian trade corridors, particularly U.S.-China trade regulationsLLM in International Trade Law or related disciplineExperience with AMS, ACE, or other U.S. Customs and Border Protection systems
