Cole Schotz P.C.ENTERPRISE APPLICATION ENGINEER – NEW JERSEY OFFICE: Prominent AM Law 200 law firm with multiple regional office locations seeks an Enterprise Application Engineer to support and enhance the firm’s critical application ecosystem. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to ensure stability, performance, and continuous improvement of enterprise systems. We are specifically targeting candidates with strong SQL/query development, API integration, and automation capabilities, along with some experience with Azure enterprise applications, Windows Server administration, and modern workflow tools. RESPONSIBILITIESAdminister, support, and optimize enterprise applications across finance, marketing, and practice management systemsDesign, develop, and support SQL queries, scripts, SSIS/SSRS reporting, and integrations to enable business operations and reportingAutomate business and IT processes using Power Automate, Boomi and scripting toolsBuild and maintain application integrations using APIs and scripting solutionsSupport Azure-based enterprise applications, including Azure AD app registrations, authentication, and integrationsAdminister Windows Servers, SQL Servers (queries, performance tuning, and reporting), and Azure FabricTroubleshoot complex application and data issues across integrated systemsCollaborate cross-functionally to implement improvements, manage vendors, and ensure system reliabilityParticipate in system upgrades, patching, and monthly maintenance in a rotation schedule (Windows, SQL, and application stack) QUALIFICATIONSAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server: Query development and optimization; Reporting (SSRS) and ETL processes (SSIS); and Basic DBA-level experience (job creation, maintenance plans, performance tuning)Experience with API integrations and scripting (PowerShell, C#, or similar)Working knowledge of Azure Enterprise Applications, including: App registrations and Authentication & identity integrations (Azure AD)Experience with Power Automate or similar workflow automation toolsFamiliarity with law firm application platforms (e.g., Elite 3E or similar systems), integrations, and system dependenciesStrong hands-on experience with Windows Server administrationExposure to SSIS/SSRS report development and data workflowsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systemsAbility to work independently while supporting cross-functional teamsClear communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong documentation and process disciplineAptitude to learn new tasks quickly and adapt to evolving technologies.Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environmentLaw firm experience desiredBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field preferredMicrosoft or related certifications are a plus We offer a competitive starting salary and a comprehensive benefits program.
